SUPPORT YOUR CAREERS

What We Offer

Skills Development

Engaging and meaningful sessions designed to help your pupils develop key employability skills. All of our enterprise challenges are aligned with the Skills Builder Framework, incorporating clear references throughout to ensure students have fun while being aware of the core skills they are building.

Work Experience

Need support for your pupils’ work experience placements? We provide a comprehensive, reliable, and safe support programme, including brokerage if required, all at an ‘at-cost’ price. Additionally, we are developing an innovative programme focused on workplace experiences to ensure your pupils are fully prepared for the world of work.

Employability Support

Your pupils need the skills and abilities to navigate the ever-changing recruitment landscape and secure their first jobs and dream careers. We offer engaging activities that equip pupils with the necessary skills and experience to succeed in the workplace of the future.

Mock Interviews & Assessment Centres

Job interviews and assessment centres are tricky, unnerving experiences that daunt students and adults alike! Empower your pupils with experiences from the current world of work to give them tangible, constructive feedback from local employers to give them the confidence to succeed in their future career choices.

LMI/Pathways Information

Pupils need information on their local labour market to understand the jobs that are available, as well as projections into the jobs of the future. Our sessions allow young people to meet the employers of their tomorrows, and interact with FE, HE and apprenticeship providers to understand their Post-16 and Post-18 destination options.

Careers Fairs

Careers Fairs are a tried and trusted method to ensure that young people have access to a wide range of employers and pathway providers to allow young people to interact with adults other than teachers and parents to broaden their horizons and learn more about their chosen industries. NYBEP takes the hard work out of Careers Fairs and offers engaging, meaningful events that showcase a wide range of local opportunities.

Challenging Stereotypes

Young people are making decisions based on stereotypes and outdated notions portrayed in the media and by (well meaning!) family members and friends. These sessions offer an opportunity to challenge preconceived notions young people may have about certain industries and job roles, and offer a fresh perspective to challenge their thinking.

STEM and Enterprise Challenges

STEM subjects are always a hot topic, and the STEM industries are always looking for the best talent for their roles. Empower your young people with the skills to make them stand out with these fun and engaging activities.

Support for Teaching Staff

We know teaching staff are up against it, and that Careers can feel like yet another job to add to the workload. We organise engaging, meaningful CPD sessions for teaching staff that brings curriculum learning to life, creating enthusiastic, passionate teachers with a focus on careers in the curriculum.

SUPPORT YOUR CAREERS

Engaging with Parents and Carers

Parents and Carers continue to have the biggest influence on a young person’s choices about their future, and no matter what information schools provide on alternatives, without support from home, it’s an uphill struggle. We can support you in engaging parents and carers with up to date, relevant information about pathways and the world of work, to empower your school community with knowledge and understanding.

Parents and Carers have a huge influence on their young people’s lives. We can provide training and support to engage parents and carers with your careers programme through employer events, pathway support sessions and CPD for teaching staff to have informed conversations with decision makers.

All activities can be adapted and amended across year groups and for specific cohorts needs, please get in touch with us for further details and to share your specific needs.
