Working as a delivery partner for Aspire-igen, NYBEP are helping York and North Yorkshire Schools access a wide range of opportunities that are currently being funded through Leeds City Region LEP ESF Funding. In doing so we are connecting schools to a programme of activities that includes:
- Free in-school events
- Free work experience placements for year 12
- Business led Enterprise competitions
- Relevant curriculum resource development

Apprenticeship support and knowledge
Working on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service NYBEP are working with schools, colleges and sixth forms to inform students about their options when it comes to leaving education and entering the workplace. Therefore we are able to offer a range of presentations and information surrounding apprenticeships at all levels to suit students from GCSE all the way to A level and higher and degree level. Activities include:
- Awareness assemblies
- Registration workshops
- Parents evenings
Successful Futures is a modular careers and enterprise programme designed to build long lasting partnerships between employers and schools.
Through a range of flexible activities that deliver multiple encounters with employers, it enables young people to acquire the skills and knowledge to better prepare them for the workplace; overcome barriers to learning and inspires and informs them to plan for and achieve a successful future.
Successful Futures provides schools (who meet the criteria) with year-round access to a menu of employer engagement opportunities for students (aged 11-19), that can be delivered as part of a drop down half/full day/assemblies including:
- Employer Speakers
- Mock interview practice to develop communication skills
- Employability skills workshops (CV writing, application processes, team building, communication, money management sessions, on-line profile)
- Careers fairs and events
- Enterprise Challenges designed in partnership with employers
- Work Experience (this offer is limited)
Important Information – This part funded offer is available to a limited number of schools across East Riding, Selby, Craven, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Harrogate, Ryedale and York.
