Enterprise Co-ordinator – Fixed Term till 31 July 2020

 

Up to £30k per annum (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity to work directly with senior business leaders to develop employer commitment in education; securing better outcomes for young people across the North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area.

Working mainly on the North Yorkshire Coast, this role will strengthen existing and build new relationships between businesses and schools as part of the Careers & Enterprise Company’s work in the Opportunity Area of the North Yorkshire Coast in partnership with the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Enterprise Adviser Programme (EAN).

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with senior business leaders to support the creation and development of innovative new employer engagement activity in schools.

You will have a proven ability to successfully support and challenge senior leaders in schools, evidence of partnership working and a track record of engaging with business on the skills agenda.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is prepared to work flexibly and as part of a team in a high-profile and demanding environment – often working to tight deadlines and someone who would want to contribute to making a difference to young people and their futures.

You will be:

  • proactive, confident, and have first class communications skills
  • a creative thinker, able to develop ideas that ultimately support schools to create and deliver good careers and enterprise programmes.
  • able to demonstrate experience of building professional relationships and the ability to manage and influence key stakeholders, have experience of project management – driving outcomes and taking the lead on managing and reporting these on time to the Careers and Enterprise Company, the LEP and other key stakeholders across the North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area.

It is anticipated that this post will be based in York with time split across the week to be spent in Scarborough/Whitby, so a clean driving licence and access to a car are also essential.

Co-ordinator – Enterprise and Employability – 1 Year Fixed Term

c £18-24k per annum (depending on experience)

 Working mainly across Bradford, this role will help to ensure there is a high level of activity taking place between education and employers bringing young people directly into contact with people and experiences that will inform their future pathways.

You will support existing projects, generate new partnerships and activities, and engage local providers capable of supporting young people to gain the knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to plan for and thrive in their chosen career.

You will ideally have a background in education together with an understanding of employer needs. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of local and national education and skills policy and have previous experience of facilitating partnership working and project management.

With excellent attention to detail, the successful candidate will have first class communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be required to demonstrate credibility and resilience working with a wide range of local partners, managing priorities effectively and efficiently as well as handling data and project reporting requirements. 

It is anticipated that his post will be based in Bradford with sometime at our head office in York, so a clean driving licence and access to a car are also essential.
